OK... I have received a lot of comments and critiques about my subject matter on this one. So here is the story.

Two girls, (cook? maid?) break into the Colonel's closet and play dressup.
His photo has been knocked to the floor and the glass has broken. (inspired by a scene in one of the last episodes of the HBO mimiseries "Band of Brothers".)
They dont want the a$$hole around. He has been shipped out to the place where Nazi Germany suffered it's first and greatest defeat in the war. The beginning of the end of the 3rd Reich. With exception of the Battle of Britain (which was put on "hold") so that Hitler could invade Russia. 100s of 1000s of German solders killed, captured, surrending, and freezing in the worst Russian winter on record. Still one of the greatest military blunders to ever occur.

Hence the title: "While the Colonel was away at the Eastern Front"
Not - "While the Colonel went up to the stop 'n shop for a strudel"

Has he been captured? Or killed? Or surrendered?
Who knows...
But one thing is true... he is MIA from THEIR party.
Are they secret lovers doing something that they would never risk doing while he was around?
Could it be the ultimate FU because they are in his clothes?
Am I mad because I forgot to put the vintage bottle of white rhine wine in the shot that I purchased specifically for this shoot? - Yes. (another from the "Band of Brothers" when the boys capture Hitler's Eagle's Nest and party on his booze)
Do I think I got a cool shot?... Yes I think so. But give the whole Nazi thing a break. We are creating an illusion and art.
